Hi;)) I'm Stacy, currently a 19-year-old student at Taipei Wego Private Senior High School. Psychology is my true passion, and I have dedicated a significant amount of time and effort to exploring this field. My ultimate goal is to utilize the knowledge I gain in psychology to make a positive impact on those in need within our society.I have been an active member of Beyond Horizon for nearly three years, and this experience has been incredibly enriching. I am immensely proud to now hold the role of volunteer coordinator. Through my involvement with Beyond Horizon, I have come to understand that many children in the world lack access to the abundance resources I have been fortunate to have in my academic journey. Therefore, I am deeply committed to utilizing my modest abilities to contribute to the education of these wonderful children, ensuring they can experience joyful growth with our unwavering support!

I joined the Beyond Horizon family in 8th grade, continuing the journey for three years. Whenever someone asks me about BH, I tell them that it’s time for me to meet my cute little friend every Monday. Despite helping the kids, I actually find myself on this journey, where I gain leadership and confidence. I am grateful for this opportunity provided by BH, in which I can bring positive influence to the community we live in.

Hello, this is Jill from Kang Chiao International School. I have a diverse range of interests, including drawing, painting, and playing basketball and volleyball. If I were to identify a subject I excel in, it would be social studies or anything related to history. The reason I decided to join Beyond Horizon is quite simple: I genuinely enjoy interacting with children. I am drawn to their innocence, which is unique to their age, and I find joy in the process of connecting with them and engaging in play. Consequently, I view this opportunity as a means to assist children and bridge the gap between urban and rural areas, ensuring that they all have equal access to educational opportunities!

Hey everyone! I'm Terry. I'm a junior studying at KCIS. I have a burning passion for performing arts (like singing, dancing, and acting) but also want to study biology. Basically, I'm a walking contradiction lol.

I joined Beyond Horizon after seeing a poster about this program at school. I love playing with kids, plus I had some spare time after school (and also the service hours!! 👀), so in 2021, I decided to join this big family.

Hiii, I’m Amber from Kang Chiao international school Linkou Campus. As a new convener of the volunteer service for KCISLK, I’m currently working as the only convener for our school. Travelling has always been one of the things I found pleasure in. Travelling to different places helps me gain experience with the world outside of school and get in touch with all the different cultures. This is also why I’m delighted to be part of Beyond Horizon, where I can share my experiences and knowledge of foreign cultures and languages with the ones in need. Currently 15 years old (yes a tenth grader) and passionate about Chinese literature, math, physics, and chemistry!

Amateur in badminton, piano, ballet, and soccer. Love music, especially classical and jazz music (I swear Chopin is the best composer).

I joined BH because I love kids and I enjoy teaching. Aside from that reason, I also recognize that English as a language is the most important tool for communicating globally. However, education inequality causes many gaps and problems. So I joined Beyond Horizon, hoping to contribute and aim for a better future for the kids.

Helloo! I am Megan from Taipei Kuei Shan School, and I have been a member of Beyond Horizon since grade 9. I actually joined Beyond Horizon because of an introduction from a friend, but after participating in the program, I am really grateful that I decided to join Beyond Horizon in the first place.

Hola! My name is Rex Lan, and I will be the coordinator next year. As a tenth grader from Pacific American School, I have been learning English since a young age. I believe that I should not let all the time and money my family and I invested go to waste, so I want to help children who may not have access to the same learning opportunities. My goal is to find the best tutors for these children and provide them with the support they need.

Hiii! I am Evana Lee, a Junior from Taipei American School. I am one of the coordinators in BH. During my free time, I like to dance, watch dramas, and sing. I believe that learning languages can expand our linguistic skills and enhance our communication skills as well. Through learning languages, we can also learn other cultures and view the world from another perspective. I decided to join BH in order to provide children with limited sources an opportunity to learn English, which can enable them to have an additional skill that they can explore with in the future.

Hello everyone! I'm Miley, and I am honoured to be one of the coordinators of this program. I am a year 12 student studying at Discovery College, and in my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis and golf. I started off as a volunteer in 2022, and as my interest grew, I applied for the coordinator role at my school. I am grateful for this opportunity and have learned a lot throughout this experience.

I am interested in volunteering relating to teaching and also like to work with children and I also enjoy doing arts. Hi everyone! I'm Cynthia from Evergreen Valley High School and I'm a rising senior. I'm passionate about chemistry and I enjoy dancing, watching shows, and listening to music in my free time. I joined Beyond Horizon during my sophomore year and I'm proud to be a coordinator here at BH. I joined BH because I wanted to help underprivileged kids get the education they deserve, especially in the English language. Being a coordinator is such a rewarding and valuable experience since I was able to gain many leadership and communication skills that I wouldn't have been able to gain elsewhere.

Hi, my name is Tracy Jin from Wellington College International shanghai and I'm currently in grade 11. I've have joined to be the coordinator since the start of this year and the two school that I'm in charge of to communicate is Xianxi and Chenggong HePing. It is a great pleasure to be involved in this program and to be able to oversee administrative affairs, whilst also regularly keeping in touch with the teachers and coordinators from the institute in Taiwan.

Hello~I am Kaylin Shen from Kang Chiao International School. As someone who loves children, I followed a friend's recommendation and joined Beyond Horizon (BH). Being a part of BH brings me great joy and a sense of accomplishment when I see how children are enjoying learning English. It inspired me to think, "I should spread this influence to more places and to more people."

Greetings! I’m Sharon, currently a sophomore at Zhongshan Girls’ High School, and I’m an outgoing girl who likes to interact with people and try new things. I’m not only an addicted MUNer, but also a massive fan of volunteering, and I also serve as an ambassador at school and a volleyball team member in class! Being one of the volunteers in BH has made my high school life much more meaningful, and has also inspired me to contribute, to share what I have learned during the 16-year journey.
