Yi Zhu Academy

Currently, 14 volunteers from Taipei Kuei Shan School are helping students in Yi Chu. They have been meeting online every Friday after school over the past year.

Words From Our Volunteers

“After these few teachings, I learned how to get along with younger students. Although I have encountered some problems now, I still try my best to teach my good students and teach a student who is younger than myself. It is not an easy task, so I think that this activity will not only improve the children's English, but also improve my own communication skills.”

“I think it’s great because I can meet children from different places and that grew up in different environments. Meeting new people that grew up differently from me can help me broaden my perspective and make me more open-minded. Teaching kids is also a great new experience, and it's fulfilling to know you are helping people in the process.”

“Hello everyone, I'm an 11-grade student from Kuei Shan school. For me, can participate in this service, is a very unique experience. Every participant will have a student, and we have the responsibility to teach them well. This is a thing I didn't experience before, and I never will think teaching is a simple thing, but I will try my best to help my student, and I hope I can continue the service, Thank you!”
